The red bull canimation is a competition which is open to anybody who can create animations and the winner gets the chance to have their animation shown in cinemas and on channel4. This aims to get the audience involved showing their creativity and allows TV organisations to see what the latest trends are and if the latest trends are being used this can be aimed at teenagers or young adults. The only rule which is stated is that the classic redbull can has to be the centre of the animation. If i was going to make my own, i would have a band of lego people playing a current hit on top of a redbull can stage, only basic equipment is needed to do is, such as a lamp for lighting and a camera.
Another type of competition is E4 Estings.
Estings on E4 are aimed at 16 - 24 year olds, they also give the audience to design them for the channel, this gives them the opportunity to save money and also gain intel on what trends are at the current time. For example if lots of viewers posted E stings with certain artist so pretty much these two competitions are very similar.
